Letting Others Drive

Filed Under Travel | Posted on December 29, 2009

Depending on what your car insurance policy dictates or what you have decided on your car insurance policy, there may be a clause in there that allows you to have other people driver your vehicle. Most often, you see this sort of thing in couples who are married. For example, my parents have a shared car insurance policy that lists both of their names as being people who are allowed to drive both of their vehicles. This policy also means that should anything happen to either one of their vehicles, they will both be liable.

Consulting Clients: How to Get Them - Using Your Network and Offline Methods

Filed Under Business Management | Posted on October 19, 2009

Here are several ways to find and keep great clients when you are starting or growing a consulting business, primarily using offline methods.

First, use your network and announce your consulting business. Send announcements to all of your friends and business contacts about your new consulting business. If you don't have a "network" yet, now is the time to start building and maintaining it.

There are three great ways to update your network:

1. Mail a printed announcement on very high quality paper or card stock to your friends and business contacts. I know, it's expensive and slow, but printed paper mail is more difficult to ignore than email. Look at the offerings of the Stuart F. Cooper Company, for example.

entrepreneurs know the massive power of creating a network and they do not take it for granted. There's a true understanding about the value of connections made through genuine, authentic, heart-felt conversation.

Sadly, so many entrepreneurs shy away from creating connections and building a powerful network because they question whether they even have something of value to share; or are afraid of what would actually happen if a person wanted to become a client; or worry about being ready or measuring up if someone actually does send business their way …

So how do you create a “network” for your business in a way that's easy and feels good?

The History of Wireless Networking

The history of wireless networks and of wireless networking goes hand in hand. Without the discovery of technology such as the radio, wireless technology would not exist at all today. The history of wireless networking goes as far back as the 1800's with that advent of radio waves. The advent of more technology grew throughout the years and expanded to what we communicated with today.

Ten Steps To Building Business Relationships: Gateway To International Business

Filed Under Business | Posted on February 9, 2009

It has been an exciting and wonderful journey for me since I migrated in Canada. I celebrated my 3rd year anniversary and it’s amazing how I’ve grown a lot. One of the secrets is to associate myself with well connected people as well as individuals who are already financially independent or in the financial freedom path like I am. These accelerated my success in a very short period of time in a new country. This year, I’ve the privilege of being an apprentice by my multi - millionaire speaking coach who “coincidentally” is expanding his seminar business internationally. He started off with Asia which fortunately is my original roots. I will be sharing the stage with him in Phuket, Thailand next month. The topic?!? Ten Steps to Building Business Relationships: Gateway to International Business. Without further ado, here are some of my success secrets to be able to say that in building business relationships strategies that I use, I’m the best in the planet!

Finding Your Beyond Benefits

I’m interested in those high pressure presentations that we all dread and hate. The presentations in which what you say and do will be the “make it or break it” factor. Marketing Presentations are when you have your opportunity to promote yourself, your business, your product, and/or your services. Your Marketing Presentations are when you make your most money or when you lose money. It’s when you get or lose your best business opportunities. And for any of you who are involved in charity and fundraising work, these are the presentations that make the difference between receiving a $500 donation versus a $5,000 donation (or even a $50,000 donation).

3 Powerful And Easy To Remember Questions

Sometimes the hardest part of running a one-on-one meeting is knowing what to say at the beginning. What are the first words out of your mouth? It can be an awkward moment after you shake hands and say hello. You don’t want to jump into the “meat” of the meeting. There should be a nice transition from casual conversation to the reason for the meeting.

Having casual conversation can give you a number of advantages. You gain insight into your client or prospect. You develop rapport by finding things in common, joking around, or, if you’re familiar with any basic NLP, modeling their body language. Since you’re leading the meeting, it’s up to you to get the ball rolling. So, you’re faced with a bit of a dilemma. How do you lead it? What’s a good opening question that’s not too personal? How do you know what might be a sensitive subject for them?

Business Networking - 60 Second Commercials

Filed Under Business | Posted on January 8, 2009

In most structured networking groups, each member is given 60 seconds at the beginning of the meeting for a “commercial”. There are two primary purposes for this brief presentation:

1. To educate those who are unfamiliar with your basic marketing message, and

2. To train and motivate your referral partners who are your part time sales staff.

When you first join a networking group and whenever there are visitors at a chapter meeting, you will want to use the first 30 seconds of your commercial to deliver your basic marketing message or “elevator speech”. Even when only your fellow members are present, you will want to return to this speech occasionally to refresh their memories.
